The Heritage Auction Galleries in uptown Dallas will be auctioning this afternoon a number of pieces of memorabilia connected to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. Among the items up for sale to the highest bidder are one of the last autographs signed by the soon-to-be murdered President a few hours before he was shot. An original police report of Jack Ruby's arrest is also on the block. As is the Gray felt hat Ruby was wearing when he shot accused Presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. That hat was sold a year ago for $61,000. In total 700 items will be for sale in the auction that begins at 1:00 PM.
