Change Of Name For Industrial Blvd. Starts Today

Industrial Boulevard in Dallas will soon be a thing of the past, and the name change is going to cost businesses big money.
They're scheduled to begin changing out the signs today as Industrial is becoming "Riverfront."  One business owner estimates changing the address on printed material could cost up to 40 thousand dollars, but most are still looking forward to the switch.
John Benda's owned Fuel City and Car Wash on Industrial for more than a decade.  Benda says real estate developers are already making plans for the area, which has been known for bail bond shacks and liquor stores.
Industrial was at the center of controversy after Cesar Chavez won as the new name in an online survey, but the city council went for Riverfront because of the trinity development.
