Coppell College Student Killed When Pick-Up Overturns In Pool

A Coppell college student has died after his pick-up crashed through a fence on Sandy Lake Road and ended upside down in a backyard swimming pool with only the tires showing above the surface. Just before 11:30 Sunday night, 19-year-old Adam Hartwick was trapped underwater until firefighters pried him out of the wreckage useing the Jaws of Life. They did CPR all the way to Lewisville Medical Center where emergency room doctors also tried to revive him, all without success. Now, Coppell police are looking for how fast Hartwick was going and the reason he lost control of his pick-up.
