Some laid-off Dallas school district workers are upset about losing their jobs, of course, but they're even more angry about how they got the word. A mass e-mail was circulated telling eight staffers at Herrera Student Intake Center their jobs will be eliminated on September first. When superintendent Michael Hinojosa was told about the e-mail, he had to admit that was a poor way to handle the notification. He says the eight were supposed to learn of their firings in face-to-face meetings. The fired employees can attend a district job fair in June. All Dallas school principals with vacancies will be there but there are no guarantees.
