One Dallas community activist is putting a new twist on neighborhood crime watch. Avi Adleman with the Belmont Neighborhood Association is taking it high-tech. He's gathering Dallas Police crime reports recently put online and customizing them for his neighbors and others citywide -- by police beats. Adleman says subscribers get an e-mail every morning, updating them on crimes in their neighborhood from the previous day. He says it's FREE. Go to http://dailycrimereport.com.
Earlier this month, the Greater Dallas Apartment Association and the company InteloQuence created Google Maps crime reports: click on a ZIP code and see recent crimes.
