Dallas Longhorn Herd Growing Again

One of downtown Dallas' favorite tourist draws -- the bronze Longhorn monument -- is growing today. This morning, workers begin installing the final addition -- nine bigger than lifesize steers at Pioneer Park near Griffin and Young. The heard's been growing over the years -- and will now number 49 Longhorns being wrangled by three bronze cowboys. The final nine steers were delivered from Wyoming yesterday and overnight. By the way, you can buy your full-size bronze souvenir replica of a Longhorn -- for 70-thousand dollars. A full-size cowboy statue will run you 105-thousand. The proceeds benefit the Texas Trees Foundation.
