Elderly women are the targets of a fake Good Samaritan in North Dallas. At least five women in their 80s tell similar stories. A man offers to help them with their purchases as they leave merchants along Forest Lane between Marsh and Inwood. Then, while they're distracted, he snatches their purse. In one case, a victim was opening her wallet to give the man a two-dollar tip when he grabbed the billfold. He got away on his motorcycle and had run up 200 dollars on her credit card before she could even get home to cancel it.
