News Radio 1080 KRLD is proud to announce that our news department has been honored with a prestigious National Edward R. Murrow award for the nation's best coverage of breaking news.  KRLD was recognized for "spot news coverage" of tornadoes that hit North Texas in April of 2007. The Radio-Television News Directors Association has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow awards since 1971.

 

2008 National Murrow winners will be honored in New York later this year.
