Mail Leads To Attempted Kidnapping Arrest

A piece of his mail led Fort Worth police to an accused predator who is now locked up on attempted kidnapping charges. Ricardo Ferrera was captured yesterday, less than a week after a 14-year-old girl picked his photo out of line-up. She says Ferrera is the man who pulled her into his pick-up as she walked down East Rosedale. She fought him off and got away unhurt. During the struggle, a piece of mail with Ferrera's name on it fell from his pick-up. Police used that to track him down to his home in southwest Fort Worth. Detectives also found black hair inside Ferrera's pick-up. They're now running tests to see if it's the victim's. |
