If you have purchased so-called power saving devices called the X-Power Saver or the MEGA Power Saver then the Attorney General’s office would like to hear from you. It is taking Austin area based Forum Trading Inc. to court over claims that those products could save lots of power and extend the life of household appliances.
Attorney General’s spokeswoman Laurie Sathoff says the products were tested by University of Texas engineers and they found that at most they could save one percent of power and did not extend the life of household appliances.
