Murdered Officer Honored Today In Farmers Branch

A tree will be planted in Farmers Branch today, honoring a policeman gunned down in his squad car nearly 25 years ago. In August of 1983, officer Lowell Tribble was ambushed while driving through the apartment complex where he lived. His killer has never been caught. Today's ceremonies honoring Tribble's life will also include the dedication of a granite monument paid for by contributions from businesses and residents.
