New Effort in Arlington to Reverse Child Abuse and Neglect

As Arlington's population grows so is the incidence of child abuse and neglect but there's a new effort to reverse that trend.
It's called "Our City,  Our Kids". 
Wayne Carason says about a dozen organizations are banding together toward prevention of such abuse.   Each year in Tarrant County more there are more than 5,500 abuse and neglect victims.  He says there is definitely a payoff in spending dollars on prevention in the child abuse and neglect arena.
He says 41 states are seeing  decreases in sexual abuse over the last 15 years 38 see declines in physical abuse.  Texas is experiencing an increase.
