Oak Cliff Bus Crash Sends One to the Hospital

A bus has crashed in Oak Cliff just 36 hours after another bus from the same company caught fire a few miles away. Last night's crash near the Dallas Zoo sent one person to the hospital with a broken leg. The Dallas County Sheriff's Office says the bus ran a light on the I-35 service road at Marsalis. The bus careened into the back of a gas station and came to rest perched on the edge of a ravine. The bus is operated by Transportes Los Nortenos, the Houston-based company that owns the bus that caught near near I-20 and Bonnie View on Tuesday. The Dallas Morning News reports that, over the past 30 months, the companys' buses have been cited for safety violations many times including seven citations for out-of-adjustment brakes.
