Parks officials also recommend wearing a life jacket on North Texas lakes. John Mathney with the Corps of Engineers at Lewisville Lake says they will have loaner life jackets available at the lake. He says police and parks officials will have patrols on the lakes this weekend to try to keep everybody safe and they'll also keep an eye out for drunk boaters.
