The Rangers financial troubles may be worse than previously thought. Major Leauge Baseball confirms it is helping Rangers owner Tom Hicks with the sale of the franchise. Rumors have been swirling that the team had missed a recent payrool and now MLB-dot-com reports that Major League Baseball has loaned Hicks up to 15-million dollars just to make sure everyone gets paid. The team has refused to comment on the reports. Hicks has made no secret of his financial straits that tightened as the economy went sour. He is actively looking to sell a majority interest in the team.
