Robber Killed by Victim's Neighbor

A Fort Worth man saved a neighbor's business, and a worker, from a violent robbery this morning -- by shooting the robber. Just before two o'clock, a masked man broke through the door of a donut shop just off White Settlement Road, east of the Naval Air Station. The woman working inside was attacked -- but was able to escape. Meanwhile, the man next door came out with his shotgun. During that confrontation, the man fired one blast and the burglar was killed. Police have been questioning the man but right now, there are no plans to charge him because Texas law permits someone to use deadly force in defending another person.
