Dallas Fire-Rescue arson investigators say they have caught the serial arsonist who was responsible for 27 deliberately set fires at the Preston Villa Townhomes in the 13,900 block of Preston Valley Place between June and November 5 of this year. There are few details, but the investigators say they caught Melinda Rodriguez in the act following an extensive investigation. She reportedly is a resident of those townhomes, and is being charged with 2nd degree felony Arson and Criminal Mischief.
