TV Veto Makes Environmentalists Fume

Environmentalists aren’t too happy with Governor Perry’s decision to veto a television recycling bill.  It’s not the first time environmentalists have been at odds with Governor Perry and it probably won’t be the last.  This latest fight is over the Governor’s veto of a bill that would have required television manufacturers to take back old TV’s and recycle them, just like old computers are already recycled.  But there is a special session coming up. “I think it’s highly unlikely that Governor Perry will add this to the list of items for a special session.  If he did that would be wonderful.”  Campaign for the Environment’s Robyn Schneider’s folks are going door to door urging people to complain about the veto in hopes people will remember that at the ballot box next year.
