The newest Bedford City Council member is a teenager. Chris Brown was sworn in last night after winning Saturday's election with more than 80 percent of the vote. At the age of 19, Brown is by far Bedford's youngest council member but his more senior colleagues welcomed him to the table last night. Mayor Jim Story says age doesn't matter as long as a person is honest and willing to what's right for the city. Brown just completed his freshman year at UNT where he's majoring in, of course, political science.
