FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ― All of North Texas is under the infamous 'Slight Risk' for severe weather on Wednesday. By the afternoon, heating of the day and a fairly unstable atmosphere will allow storms to pop up once again along a dryline and cold front to our west. The storms will have the capability to produce large hail and damaging wind. Timing is difficult with this system, but it does appear as though we'll see more storms move into North Texas in the late afternoon, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Most likely we'll see an area of thunderstorms over North Texas late Wednesday night, moving east during the overnight hours. Storms will be strong at times, with heavy rain and hail the biggest threats. Rain should have exited all of North Texas by sunrise Thursday morning.
Expect a slow drying out and a few peeks of sunshine on Thursday, with cooler temperatures of highs in the mid 70s.
