Two Dallas Police Officers Fired

Two veteran Dallas Police Officers are off the force fired after a year-long ticket-writing investigation.  Two others are disciplined.
Senior Corporals Al Schoelen and Jeffrey Nelson, both with 29 years on the Dallas Police Force, were fired by Chief David Kunkle who says there's no one thing that led to their firings but a general series of activities that police found unacceptable.
The Chief says the officers entered false information on tickets, forced people to sign blank tickets, and issued multiple tickets for the same offense on patrol in Old East Dallas.
Suspended for similar activity: Senior Corporal Timothy Stecker, 10 days; and Sgt. Walter Clifton, a 5 day suspension.
Chief Kunkle says the complicated investigation went through thousands of tickets and documents.
