Two Die in Smokey House Fire

A woman and a child died in a Fort Worth house fire Friday afternoon.  Fire Department spokesman Kent Worley says firefighters found the two together on the kitchen floor inside the one story house in the 6000 block of Truman Drive.  45 year old Lavonda Anderson was pronounced dead at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth.  Her grandson, 3 year old Maurice Anderson, was pronounced dead at Cook Children’s Medical Center.   Lieutenant Worley says the smoky blaze had burned in the living room for some time before a passerby saw smoke coming out from under the eaves, and called the Fire Department.  Investigators say it appeared to have been started by an unattended candle.
