Voters Face Many Issues In Saturday Elections

The Dallas school district is asking voters to approve a 1.3 BILLION dollar bond proposal for new schools and renovations at older ones. But critics say the district shouldn't be asking for such a big bond while an audit of the district's finances is ongoing.

The Plano School District is pushing a 490 million dollar bond package on the ballot.  The money would pay for four new schools, new technology, and renovations of older campuses.

Voters will choose a new mayor in Irving and Carrollton.  The race in Carrollton has recently focused on whether the incumbent, Becky Miller, embellished some things about her past, such as singing backup for big acts like Linda Ronstadt.

The Lewisville school district has two bond proposals on the ballot, a 700 million dollar package for new schools and renovations and 79 million dollars for a "special events center."
