El Paso police have arrested a 300-pound man on a charge of attempted murder after they caught him fleeing the scene of a stabbing in his motorized wheelchair.
The 52-year-old is accused of stabbing his neighbor in an El Paso apartment complex following several days of feuding between the two men. That's according to El Paso police spokesman Darrel Petry.
Officers arrived at the complex early Saturday and found Billy Cheeks inside his apartment bleeding from a stab wound on the left side of his chest. Cheeks was taken to an area hospital. His condition was unavailable.
Police said the attacker was James Grady, 52.
Grady had not been booked into jail tonight, and a jail official was unaware if Grady had an attorney.
