DART Construction Will Stop During State Fair

Fair Park is getting spruced up for Friday's opening of the State Fair of Texas but just outside the front gates it's another story.
DART has been digging up the street to lay the GREEN line, which is the next light rail line.  Morgan Lyons says you can avoid all that by parking in the Fair's big lot off Haskell on the east side of the Fair Park and then ride the train.  The Big Tex Express conects that parking lot with the fair grounds and best of all, it's a free ride.
DART plans to stop all work for the 24-day run of the Fair and create walkways through the construction to the front gates.
