KRLD Afternoon News

Alice Rios
A native of Houston, Alice Rios has been a part of the KRLD team since 1991. Alice received her BA in Communications with a minor in Spanish from Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches. She began her radio career in college, working for several music stations in Nac as a "D-J". Her first gig was at KSFA (which powered down at 6pm each night) spinning, literally, country tunes. After getting her first reporting job at KJCS in Nacogdoches, Alice was later hired away as News Director/reporter at WTAW/KTSR in Bryan-College Station. Less than a year later Alice moved to Dallas to join KRLD, where she has received multiple "Best Newscast" and "Best Anchor Team" Katie and Associated Press Awards. Click here for full bio.

David Rancken
David Rancken is new to Dallas but he's no stranger to news. He has been in broadcasting for more than 20 years, starting his career as the nightly news anchorman for a small TV station in Houston. Recalling those early days: "We had five people in the newsroom and had a lot of area to cover. I anchored, wrote and shot a lot of the news stories myself.”   Click here for full bio.
