Watch-Parrot Alerts Home Owner To Burglar



A pet parrot wakes up a Dallas homeowner who confronts and shoots a burglar.
Dallas Police Sgt. Gil Cerda says about 1:30 this morning Salvador, a red-headed parrot began saying "hello" which is something he does anytime he sees someone.  Homeowner Dennis Baker woke up and got his gun having been burglarized four times in the past month at his home and business on Cortez Drive. 
Sgt. Cerda says Baker found a man in the garage loading up stuff and he shot him. 46 year old John Woodson died later. Cerda says this is a first for him a watch-parrot.
