Iris Bekker

Iris Bekker is one of KRLD's associate editors and also reports the news. She is a native of Fort Worth, and attended Southwest High School. Iris earned her BA in R-TV-F at The University of North Texas in Denton.

Iris worked at WBAP, then went to KEWS. She freelanced for CBS11 before joining the KRLD team.

In high school, Iris was involved in drama. In college she was news director at KNTU, the UNT campus radio station.

She and her husband, Brett, live in Mansfield with their 7-year-old son, Dylan, and 5-year-old daughter, Hannah. She spends her time running Hannah around to modeling jobs, and Dylan to boy scouts, as well as volunteering at his school. They enjoy movies, family bike rides and taking out their boat.
