It could be a Hollywood ending for Texas Stadium and Reunion Arena. Both venues are empty or soon will be. And now the Dallas Film Commission is hoping their destruction might end up on the silver screen. Commission head Janis Burkland says she will be contacting studio's to gauge their interest in footing the bill to raze one or both buildings. Film the destruction could then be used in a feature movie. City leaders in Irving and Dallas seem open to the general idea but want to know specifics before making a commitment. Reunion Arena in Dallas is already closed and Irving's Texas Stadium will be torn down after this season as the Cowboys make plans to move to their new stadium under construction in Arlington.
