HOUSTON (AP) _ Texas gasoline prices just keep dropping.
The AAA Texas gasoline price survey released Friday says regular self-serve is averaging $1.47 per gallon across the state, a drop of 7 cents from last week and of 50 percent from a year ago.
The national average is $1.63 per gallon, 3 cents less than last week and $1.43 less than a year ago.
The state's highest gas price average is in El Paso, where regular self-serve fell 5 cents from last week to $1.52 per gallon. Houston and Corpus Christi has the cheapest gas at $1.43 per gallon. That's 7 cents less than Houston's average last week and 10 cents less than last week's average in Corpus.
