The Guest of Honor:

Davinia Small is the official Brand Ambassador of the Ardbeg Distillery and will serve as the Guest of Honor for this extraordinary tasting event.  The Ardbeg distillery is world renowned for its peaty, smoky style and claims to be the peatiest Islay whisky in production today.  In 2008, Jim Murray's Whisky Bible awarded Arbeg’s 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch the title of “2008 World Whisky of the Year and Scotch Single Malt of the Year.”  In 2009, Jim Murray's Whisky Bible then awarded Ardbeg’s “Uigeadail Cask Strength” the title of “World Whisky of the Year and Scotch Single Malt of the Year.”  Jim Murray also made the following mention in regards to the Ardbeg Distillery. “To me Ardbeg is - and always has been - the most complex malt on earth.  I have been visiting the distillery for nearly 30 years - long before anybody had heard of Ardbeg and because I have long regarded this as the finest distillery in the world, I actually try to handicap the sample to iron out any natural bias.”
 
The Restaurant:

"The Second Floor" is a new bistro and bar concept that shares its name with its location in The Westin Galleria Dallas.   This innovative bistro was created by the famed culinary couple of Chef Scott Gottlich and Gina Gottlich, founders of Bijoux Restaurant.  The Second Floor features a sophisticated, yet contemporary, cuisine and offers an intimate dining experience. The restaurant’s 2500-square-foot dining area is completely enclosed in glass and features a terrazzo floor, ethanol-burning fireplace and a warm color scheme to create an inviting and relaxing ambiance - perfect for this unique event.  Join us and discover for yourself why this restaurant continually gets rave reviews.  Heavy appetizers will be served and complimentary valet will also be provided.
