Drunk drivers caught in Tarrant County this holiday weekend may end up with a needle in the arm. If a driver refuses a breath test, police and prosecutors intend to get search warrants allowing a blood test. So, the Tarrant County District Attorney's office will pay for six nurses stationed around the county ready to draw blood, day or night. Assistant D-A Richard Alpert recalls that last year, paramedics were asked to make blood draws. But lawyers got some of that evidence tossed out by arguing the paramedics were not properly trained. That's why professional R-N's will do the job this year.
