Park Officials Out In Force On Local Lakes

Watch your speed and keep your distance.  That's the word from parks officials to boaters this weekend.
Parks officials also recommend wearing a life jacket on North Texas lakes.  John Mathney with the Corps of Engineers at Lewisville Lake says they will have loaner life jackets available at the lake.  Mathney also says life jackets are the key to surviving if you fall into the water or get too far from shore to swim back safely.  He says police and parks officials will have patrols on the lakes this weekend to try to keep everybody safe and they'll also keep an eye out for drunk boaters.
