4-Year-Old Dies After Being Struck By SUV

HOUSTON (AP) _ Harris County authorities are investigating a traffic accident in which a 4-year-old boy died after being struck by a sport utility vehicle as the driver backed out from a curb.
Authorities said Devon Osborn walked behind the vehicle and was partially run over by the right rear tire of the vehicle in a northwest Harris County neighborhood Saturday night. He was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital-The Texas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The Houston Chronicle reported that authorities said the death appears to be accidental. No charges have been filed.
