Local Hotels Cutting Prices On Business Meetings

A couple hundred North Texas hotels figure deep discounts will  heal their sagging business meeting bookings.   A drop in convention and meeting business in DFW prompts a price-cutting push here.  Tim Sullivan, chairman of the Hotel Association of North Texas says they're launching  dfwpromise.com.   If meeting planners book online, they'll get deep discounts on everything from hotels, to ground transportation to airfares on American Airlines.  Hotels in the program are willing to take the financial risk if meeting planners see a decline in attendance and hotel stays.
