Dr Tyler Cooper and Todd Withorn

Since 1970 thousands of patients from around the world have come to Dallas to take advantage of the preventive medicine message from the experts at the Cooper Clinic. The "Cooper Message" is simple: it all starts with healthy habits. A good diet, regular exercise, stress and weight management, regular preventive exams and supplementation all play a role in dramatically increasing your odds of living a long and healthy life to the fullest. And the great news is it's never too late to start! Join Dr. Tyler Cooper and Todd Whitthorne as they share the keys to maximizing your health so you can start feeling and looking better right away!

Tyler Cooper, M.D., M.P.H., is CEO of Cooper Aerobics Enterprises, Inc., and co-author of Start Strong, Finish Strong with his father, Dr. Kenneth Cooper. He also serves as a preventive medicine physician at Cooper Clinic in Dallas, is president of CooperLife, a heath and wellness residential community planned for Craig Ranch in McKinney, and sits on the Cooper Complete® nutritional supplements board of directors.

Dr. Cooper received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and a master of public health degree from Harvard School of Public Health. Prior to joining Cooper Clinic, he was a preventive medicine resident at the University of South Carolina and a family practice resident at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Va. His areas of special medical interest include general preventive medicine, lifestyle modifications, and health care management involving governmental and social policy.

Joining Cooper Clinic as a physician in 2006 actually marks a return to Cooper Aerobics Center. After graduating with a bachelor of business administration from Baylor University, Dr. Cooper worked in business development for the company for several years before deciding to follow his father's footsteps and enter medical school. He is responsible for starting the company's corporate services division, Cooper Corporate Solutions, which provides employee benefits advice and corporate wellness program design, in addition to designing, managing, and staffing health and fitness facilities around the country.

Much like his father, Dr. Cooper is an avid runner. He was an All-Southwest Conference runner in both track and cross country at Baylor. Tyler and his wife, Angie, have a son, Clark, and a daughter, Lang.

Todd Whitthorne (President and CEO, Cooper Concepts, Inc.) has been in the public eye for over 20 years. He is currently the president and chief executive officer of Cooper Concepts, Inc., a division of Cooper Aerobics Center in Dallas. He also serves as chairman of the Our Kids' Health Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing childhood obesity in Texas. Whitthorne is a member of both the American College of Sports Medicine and IAWHP (International Association for Worksite Health Promotion), serves on the Board of Directors for the Dallas GET A MOVE ON campaign, and is a member of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Taskforce.

After graduating from UCLA with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise physiology, Whitthorne began a broadcasting career that would take him to various stops from Washington D.C. to Phoenix and Dallas. He won both an Emmy and a Katie award as co-host of "Good Morning Texas" on WFAA-TV, the Dallas ABC affiliate. Since 2005 Whitthorne has also served as the television host for the Dallas White Rock Marathon and the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot.

An accomplished and frequent speaker to large and small corporate groups, schools and nonprofit organizations, Whitthorne is well versed in a variety of wellness topics. His presentations include: "Your Health, Your Responsibility;" "Healthy Living: The Links to Personal and Professional Success;" "The ABC's of Nutritional Supplements;" "Fitness for Life;" "Building a Better Brain," and "Corporate Wellness Pays Big Dividends."
Whitthorne enjoys most outdoor activities and has run several marathons and half-marathons. He resides in Coppell, Texas with his wife, Kathy. They have two children; 21-year-old Lauren, an education major at Texas A&M, and 18-year-old Andrew, a freshman at the University of Oklahoma
