Fort Worth voters approve another 5 years of a crime fighting tax. The half cent sales tax grabbed more than 80 percent of the votes, although turnout was light. The tax generates about 50 million dollars a year to provide anti-gang, anti-narcotics efforts. In the last decade and a half Fort Worth has seen a 32 percent reduction in crime under the tax.
