Michelle Smith never sexually touched her daughter, but she let her husband do as he pleased. Smith Michelle Viorin says Smith found her husband, the girl's father, molesting her when the child was less than two. "She continued to provide him with access to this child. She continued to have the child sleep in the bed with him naked. The child indicated that her mother was in the bed, at times, when the child was being sexually assaulted. Viorin says Smith knew her husband was a registered sex offender when the two married and was warned about having a child with him. "She was a sex toy factory for him. She conceived this child and handed this child over to him, know what he was, knowing what he liked and continued to help him commit these crimes."
Smith was convicted of three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Each count carries a 70 year sentence and they are to be served consecutively, which means she's looking at a stretch of 210 years behind bars. Her husband is already serving a life term.
