Former Rangers Pitcher Shoots Self In Leg

Former Rangers pitcher Vicente Padilla has a gunshot wound in his leg but the doctors say it's not that serious. Reports from Padilla's native Nicaragua are sketchy but apparently Padilla was at a shooting range when his handgun jammed and another man was helping him with it when the weapon discharged. A bullet grazed Padilla in the thigh. Padilla's current team, the Dodgers, has not said whether they'll invite Padilla back in 2010. He was released from the Rangers mid-way through the 2009 campaign.
