Thousands Of Prostitutes May Move To North Texas

Tens of thousands of sports fans will jam North Texas for the NBA All-Star game in February and the Super Bowl in 2011 and thousands of prostitutes are expected to be here, too.
Dallas police say that up to 100-thousand hookers and so-called circuit girls could roll into the Metroplex.  The estimate given at the National Prostitute Diversion Conference yesterday is based on what's happened in other cities that have hosted the games.  Police in Arizona stepped up patrols before the Super Bowl a couple of years ago to catch hookers and their pimps before they could set up business.  The Dallas vice unit is making similar plans beefing up resources and shifting schedules to try to meet demand.
