Former Rangers Pitcher Slightly Wounded In Accidental Shooting

Former Rangers pitcher Vicente Padilla has a gunshot wound in his leg but the doctors say it's not that serious.  The reports from Padilla's native Nicaragua are conflicting and confusing but the gist of it is that Padilla was at a shooting range with another man.  Padilla's handgun jammed and the other man was helping him with it when the weapon discharged.  The bullet grazed Padilla in the right thigh, sending him to the hospital for about 40 minutes.  He's now recovering at home.  Padilla's current team, the Dodgers, has not said whether they'll invite Padilla back in 2010.  He was released from the Rangers mid-way through the 2009 campaign.
