Two middle school students in Frisco have been suspended and several others have received warnings for threatening a teacher. The threats were against a Staley Middle School instructor on Facebook saying "Join now and maybe we can all kill her together" and "We are gonna kill her soon."
It's the first case of its kind in Frisco and targeted a teacher on a page titled "I hate Mrs" with her name included. Two students have been suspended for commenting on the Facebook page while the parents of the others have received calls. The person who created the page no longer attends Staley.
Staley parent Whitney De La Cruz told the Morning News the culprits should serve as examples by facing harsher punishment.
De La Cruz, who doesn't allow her middle scholars to use Facebook, said the blame lies largely on parents in this age of instant accessibility. "They aren't monitoring, and it's scary."
