The Tarrant County District Attorney's office is taking to a grand jury the case of a Fort Worth home owner who shot and killed two apparent burglars last Friday, November 6. Fort Worth Police say he fired after they kicked in his front door, and were inside his house. Texas law says deadly force is justified under a number of circumstances, including most cases in which a suspect illegally enters an occupied home. The DA says taking such cases to a grand jury is not unusual. In such cases, the District Attorney's office says review by a grand jury is often sought for "factual resolution."
