School And Police Investigate High School Student Brawl

A Halloween night brawl involving high school students has become the target of separate investigations in Ellis County.
Both the Ellis County Sheriff's office and the Midlothian School District have probes into a party that happened in Midlothian October 31st.  The Sheriff's office says the parents of two teenagers have complained they were assaulted with ball bats while at the party.
At the same time the Midlothian School District Jana Hathorne says it has an inquiry of its own.  She says the district has taken action but wouldn't say what the action was or who it involved.
The Sheriff's office says in addition to the allegations of the bat attack it is investigating whether was underage drinking that may have fueled a fight.
