Pedestrian Killed In Accident On I-35

Traffic was backed up for miles in Dallas because of a fatal incident on Stemmons Freeway near Hi-Line, in front of American Airlines Center.
Just after 6 a.m. this morning Dallas Fire-Rescue was sent out because of 911 about an auto-pedestrian accident.  Paramedics found a woman had been hit by a car.
She was dead at the scene.
It's not clear whether the woman was trying to cross the freeway or was, perhaps, having car trouble.  Within a half-hour, northbound Stemmons was backed up past the Dallas Zoo into Oak Cliff.  Traffic was also at a near standstill on Woodall Rodgers Freeway and on I-30.
