Mean Joe Greene Will Help With Groundbreaking

Tomorrow at the University of North Texas "Mean Joe" Greene and other former players will help with the groundbreaking for the school's new football stadium.
The event's at 11 o'clock Saturday morning across Interstate 35-E from the Murchison Performing Arts Center.   The current stadium---Fouts Field---is 57 years old and lacks sufficient restrooms and concession areas.
The new stadium's being designed by the company responsible for the new Cowboys Stadium.  It will have space for 30-thousand fans with better sight lines as well as 21 luxury suites.
The actual construction work is to begin in January with the stadium to be ready for football in about 18 months.
