Police make a quick arrest after a Dallas School District Police officer fires at a suspect attempting to break into a school.
Dallas School District Officers responded to Titche Elementary near Skillman and Royal in Northeast Dallas after receiving a burglary call overnight. The officers saw two trying to break into the school, and as they attempted to stop them, one of the officers pulled his gun and opened fire. One of the burglary suspects ran off, but the other was arrested at the school and taken to jail. No one was hit in the gunfire, but police are still looking for the one that got away. The Dallas Police Department says it will be in contact with the school district as it investigates what led up to the gunfire at the elementary school this morning.
